I use a mac pro and 23 inch cinema display, it just rocks! I can sit with all my application open and flit between them without any problems. The display is just great too. Not the cheapest but by far the best I've ever used.

We just use 24" iMac. Great machines! Monitors are great. Although we will be getting a hi-end Mac Pro for 3D work as the iMacs struggle with hi-end animation. Will save a lot on render farms when we get it!

What types of monitors do other graphic designers use?

I'm currently running dual screens, ViewSonic flat screens with a Huey Pro for colour collab.

Setting up a new high-end graphics system with quad cores for the larger billboard projects (8m+ billboards) and hoping to not have to use Huey Pro every startup, can anyone recommend a monitor brand/model that is as true as possible to a print?

What type brand/model of montiors do others use?

I am in absolute agreeance with Chris / Tom. A lot of designers that I have met are very close-lipped when it comes to our careers and I can't see any reason for this. We've won international awards, yet I'm still always happy to help another firm or agency if they get stuck with ideas... why? because I do it for the passion, and my passion is designing!!! I honestly believe those people who aren't able to be helpful in their profession is because they only care about the money - not the project. And realistically - who wants ot deal with a company who doesn't care about their profession?

As they say - pleasure in the job puts perfection in the work!!
